JVZoo: Affiliate Marketing Platform Review
Table of Contents
It’s amazing what you learn while doing an investigation for an article like this. But what’s ringing an alarming bell is the idea that every other JVZoo “review” humorously promotes a notoriously terrible affiliate marketing training program. But, if you think that many evaluations can’t be biased, you need to rethink.
Guys, it’s not 2008 anymore; perhaps you should try a different strategy. Anyway, I swear I’m not going to try to pitch you anything, particularly that training program. Instead, in this JVZoo review, we’ll examine the scenes of this affiliate program.
The majority of them made utterly ludicrous profit claims about their items. JVZoo was thrilled to enter the digital product sector when it was primed for a challenger. They’ve expanded from a modest start-up to a network with over 800,000 active associates since then. They’re even listed in the Inc 5000. So, they must be doing something right with 18 million goods sold, right? Let’s have a look.
Getting Started
JVZoo is free to join, as is the case with all but one of the affiliate networks out there (I’m looking at you, Awin). On their home page, they stress this with a big ‘Start for Free’ button. The four-step signup procedure begins with you providing your name, contact information and selecting a passcode for your new account.
After that, you’ll receive a verification email with a set of actions. After logging in, you’ll be asked to select a payment option. Alternatively, your payment processor – but these are only available to product sellers.
When working with JVZoo, the majority of affiliates select PayPal since commissions are paid promptly. You don’t have to wait weeks or months for payment; you get paid as soon as the sale is made. But there is more to it than that, as I’ll explain later.
There’s also a ridiculously enormous increase in the registration process at this point, which I don’t recall seeing when I initially joined JVZoo years ago. To really finish the order, it appears that you’ll need to upgrade to a ‘PayPal Business’ or a ‘Payoneer’ account.
Until I realized there was a ‘House’ icon on the bottom row. It doesn’t have a label — it’s just out there all on its own. To continue registering, all you have to do is enter your address information instead.
We’re curious if JVZoo has ever calculated the number of signups they’ve lost at this stage. I’m also curious as to why no other “JVZoo review” has mentioned this. After that, you’ll see a list of “Recommended tools,” but that’s the conclusion of the activation procedure.
Promotional Brands
With many other affiliate program networks, you can generally locate a few brand names you’re familiar with. With JVZoo, however, this will not be the case. To provide you an idea of what to expect, here is a list of the best-selling products on their marketplace right now:
- Stock Push
- Quiz goal
- Profile Mate
- Doodle Maker
You get the point — you won’t be promoting Nike, Apple, or Microsoft here.
JVZoo is similar to ClickBank, except it offers affiliates better payout terms. (We have a full JVZoo versus ClickBank comparison page.)
The Interface that is Easy to Use
There seems to be a lot going on, with most of it contained in multiple panels. The ‘Overview’ menu item gives you access to your default view of this screen. Then there’s ‘Hot Topics,’ which takes up a lot of screen space and tells you what competitions are concluding right now.
The following are the other selection options:
Affiliates get access to a dashboard, statistics, and approved goods. Products, Bonuses, Trades, and Knowledgebase may all be found here.
Sellers are only significant to course/product developers.
Product categories include ‘Marketplace,’
‘Launch List,’
‘Top Sellers,’ and
‘Featured Products.’
Account-14 options ranging from account information to APIs, plugins, and widget makers.
Tools – User search and recommended tools.
I could devote the better part of this review to going over each menu selection in some depth. But I’m not going to do that. Why? In the next section, I’ll explain why.
Affiliate Programs to Join
The rationale for not going over each menu item in detail is that it would be pretty dull. And it’s because affiliates only care about two things that contribute to this:
- What are the locations of the products?
- What’s the best way to put up my affiliate link?
The ‘Find Products’ menu item answers the first of these questions. You’re taken to a page with a long list of product offerings that you can sort through. You can do so by using the following methods: Keyword Category Sub-category.
This is fortunate, given that JVZoo now has 57,600 active deals. It’s also worth devoting a few moments to clarify anything. There’s a significant difference between JVZoo “Top Sellers” and JVZoo “Best Sellers.”
Jvzoo is specifically for digital products marketed to people who want to “earn money online.” Instead, seek for the junction of high sales figures and a low return rate. The problem is that you can’t sort by refund rate or any other metric; instead, you can only sort by column.
You must also register for each program separately. Thankfully, the majority of JVZoo’s product producers are eager badgers when it comes to finances. Especially any top-selling JVZoo product.
Receiving Payment
So, if you’re a JVZoo affiliate, when and how do you get paid?\
Timeline for Payment
This is largely determined by the program or deal you’re advertising. Many of the JVZoo offerings will pay out quick commissions to your PayPal account. But only when you’ve earned the title of “Premium Affiliate.”
And doing so necessitates a high volume of sales and a low return rate. You are not given goals to work towards; instead, you are advised to contact their assistance. So, in the lack of quick payments, you’ll have to deal with a net-90 payment schedule, similar to Amazon.
Methods of Payment
You can choose from a variety of payment methods like direct deposit using PayPal Payoneer (via JVZoo Pay). However, be sure the payment method is compatible with the banks in your country. No one really wants to endorse a product if they aren’t compensated for it.
Payment Threshold
To receive a payment from JVZoo, your oYOr account must have a net positive balance of $50. es, your JVZoo account can have a balance due. If you’re stuck with a slew of refunds, for example. As a result, be extremely selective about whatever deals you promote.
Helpdesk at JVZoo
So, what happens if something goes wrong? JVZoo does an excellent job of assisting both affiliates and merchants. Opening a ticket is straightforward, and their knowledge base is well-organized. As a result, finding the solution you’re seeking is simple. Their support service is open seven days a week (by ticket), barring certain holidays.
Putting It All Together
Customers are unhappy with the software they purchased, but they blame the platform, which is like calling Amazon and complaining about how bad Windows 8 is. However, these accusations might be avoided if JVZoo simply removed the dishonest authors from the site. So, if all else is equal, should you give JVZoo a try…or not?
